UPDATE 1/14/20:  AT&T, Verizon, and T-mobile tell us they are no longer blocking robo calls from the District.

Roanoke City Public Schools is using a new robo call system.  We understand some of you did not receive Tuesday morning’s (1/7/20) robo call about the weather.  We believe some cell phone carriers have flagged RCPS robo calls as spam, and therefore have blocked the number.  We are working with the cell phone companies to fix this issue.

In the meantime, there are steps you can take.  All district and school robo calls now come from (540) 777-0876.  Please add this telephone number to your contacts and call it RCPS Robo Calls.

If you are an iPhone user, please check “Add to Favorites” before saving it in your contacts.  Then go to settings, click on Do Not Disturb, and then Allow Calls From. Make sure your default is “Favorites.”

If you are an Android user, please check the “star icon” before saving it in your contacts.  Then go to settings, click on Do Not Disturb, and then Allow Exceptions.  Make sure your default is “Favorites.”

If you need additional help or have questions, please call (540) 853-6070 during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.).
